Bait

Bait is where new carp anglers overspend and overthink. This collection cuts through it: what carp actually eat, when a tin of sweetcorn outfishes a premium boilie, how much bait to introduce, and how to match bait choice to the venue and the season. We evaluate baits on catch-anywhere versatility, cost per session, ease of use on the rig, and how they behave in the water — not on marketing claims. Where fishery rules commonly restrict a bait (nuts and some particles are banned on many waters because poor preparation can harm fish), we say so clearly and explain the welfare reasoning behind the rule.
